OPEN HOUSE ~ JUNE 9TH

On Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 6 pm, the Inner City Ensemble (ICE)  conducted an open-house in the Passaic County Community College (PCCC) Theater (corner of Memorial Dr. and Ellison St.). The program, led by Artistic Director, Nicholas Rodriguez,  featured students from Public School #2, the Don Bosco Technical Academy (DBTA), as well as  teenage participants from other Paterson high schools.  The school residencies were coordinated by ICE alumni, Tamara Rivera Lugo and Timothy Armour, as well as former ICE staff member, Patricia Fierro Rizzo, the Mentor of Climate and Culture at DBTA, PS#3 and PS#18.

The PCCC showing launched the Alumni Choreography Lab,  facilitated by ICE alumnae, Liliana Amador-Marty.   Rodriguez, Despina ‘Debbie’ Stamos, and a  other guests,  previewed a collaboration.  ICE receives generous support from the City of Paterson/ Department of Health & Human Services, and is funded, in part, by the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council at Passaic County Community College, through a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

After School Dance at PS #2

ICE continues its after school dance program with Paterson Public School students at P.S. #2, which began in February, with Artistic Director, Nicholas Rodriguez.  There was a showing at P.S. #2 on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 3 pm.  Classes will continue on Thursdays until June 2016.

Must bring in signed PCCHC Student Information form to participate.

ICE 2016 Audiition Call BackLooking for diverse teenagers from Paterson – experience is helpful but not necessary.

Auditions consist of a  warm-up and learning modern, jazz and hip-hop choreography.

Parents permitted to watch audition.

Dancers must wear proper attire (dance or sport clothes and dance shoes or sneakers).

The audition at PCCC will start promptly.

Youth Arts Showcase 2015

Passaic County Community College (PCCC) will host a Youth Arts Showcase tomorrow – Saturday, December 12th – featuring the Grammy and Academy Award-nominated Impact Repertory Theatre of Harlem, sponsored by The Juvenile Education & Awareness Program. Also scheduled to appear are Rosa L. Parks High School of the Fine & Performing Arts (Paterson), The Inner City Ensemble (Paterson) and the ATC Studios (Clifton).

This free program is open to the public and will begin at 2PM the PCCC Theatre located at the corner of Memorial Drive and Ellison Street in Downtown Paterson.

This program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
